Where neuroscience meets depth & mind-body practices.

An inevitable part of the human experience is that we all experience overwhelm, hardship, and imperfections.

While that may seem like a harsh reality, the most beautiful news is that there is a way to alleviate our own suffering. Relief is possible.

How exactly might we get there?

A common source of our continued suffering occurs when we identify with our experiences — we can think of these as entanglements. Such entanglements can feel difficult to access.

However, when we utilize a combination of Mindfulness, Spirituality, Buddhist Psychology, EMDR and Trauma-Informed Care, and Abundant Compassion and Humor, we are able to breathe a little more space in between ourselves and our entanglements. In doing so, we are able to observe those entanglements from a more compassionate and multidimensional perspective. Eventually, we begin to view our entanglements as entry points to insight.

And it is then, in those moments where we flash on insight that we begin to feel some relief and sense of possibility.

Those moments of insight begin to accumulate and eventually, they alter our relationship with our entanglements. Rather than seeing them as hindrances, we allow ourselves to consider the possibility that these entanglements are really stepping stones on a path to greater awareness, love, and stability of our mind.

With time and practice, we develop skills and insights that help us be with life as it is — the joys AND the sorrows — with a bit more liberation from suffering, especially amidst the ever-changing life circumstances. In doing so, we are also able to unlock a deeper sense of compassion for ourselves and others.

The science behind this is what is known as neuroplasticity, a proven and research-based approach that shows us how to train our brains to allow for more healing connections.

So what might this look like in a session together?

With compassion as my guide, I enter each session with the sincere intent to connect in a heartfelt way.

We start with supporting you in finding a way to settle in. From there I will gradually encourage you to drop into a more embodied presence, which in essence means finding avenues to turn down the volume of the thinking mind and turn up the volume of awareness and the whole multifaceted being.

From there, we invite in abundant compassion at every stage. Everything and anything that might come up and through is welcome, and we greet it with curiosity and without judgment.

Through compassionate inquiry, insights are revealed and healing happens.

Through our work together, my hope is to help you learn more about the protections you are reflexively using for your heart — and to introduce you to an array of other protections that can be cultivated to enhance your sense of safety, well-being, and connection.
