Even when life feels really stressful…

It is possible to find a sense of calm.

One thing I know to be true is that every human being experiences hardship and pain. And yet, the beauty of being human is that we also have the capacity to deepen our understanding of those experiences and shift how we relate to them. Through this process, we also change how we understand and relate to ourselves.

I believe that each individual carries within them a unique set of experiences, entanglements, and emotions. We come by these honestly, and through our work together, my hope is that instead of circulating around what has been, we can illuminate what is present and true and real for you in this moment.

Despite the nuances of whatever you may be going through, one thing is for certain — suffering is a universal human experience. You are not alone. You do not need to be fixed. And… there is a way to alleviate your current suffering.

More than anything, I wish for you to know that you are whole and worthy and good.

To experience healing, we must first embark on a journey of self-discovery.

My intention is to support you on this journey.

Through my formal education and my own self-discovery journey that has been imbued with Mindfulness/ Buddhist teachings and Meditation practices, CBT, Neuropsychology, and EMDR and Trauma-informed care, I know that it is possible to train the mind to become stronger, wiser, and more loving. With the right inspiration and coping skills, transformation does happen.

At North Shore Insight, I strive to help you tap into that sense of initial possibility. From there, we are all able to develop an inner refuge — that sacred internal place of balance and wisdom from which you can navigate the complexities of life.

Because here’s the thing…

Without proper training, the mind can resemble a dense jungle, overwhelming and disorienting. By learning to recognize and understand its various elements and changing nature, we become less bewildered and reactive to what we encounter, and more centered and relaxed. As we gradually let go of our rigid identification with these elements such as our thoughts, memories, and emotions, we can begin to settle into the reality of what is.

From that place of what is, we then begin to touch in on relief, a sense of calm, even-mindedness, stillness, perhaps even — peace.

So how exactly do we get there?

Through Mindfulness, Buddhist & Nondual psychology, EMDR, CBT, humor, and by bringing curiosity and boundless kindness into each moment.

When I break that down into layperson’s terms, what our work together will look like is essentially this:

We form a partnership with me as the companion and you as the one immersing more deeply into your experience

  • With gentle guidance, you drop into your mind-body stream and unblend from aspects of the mind such as thinking, views, emotions, and memories

  • In doing so, we are creating some space so that we might activate awareness and healing qualities

  • For as long and as often as you might need, I encourage you to pause to allow for deeper listening and sensing

  • Together, slowly we shape what was previously wordless, vague, or hidden, and transform how we understand and relate to our experiences and ourselves

  • In time and with practice, we follow the path our deeper being has laid for us

This is how you learn to understand more of your mind and shift your relationship to it, nurture innate antidotes, and enter into a more compassionate relationship with self and others.

This is the path to self-acceptance.
